Printartist caused a general protection fault in module PRTARTST.EXE at 000B:4A42
Optional Information: OS: Windows XP; Browser: IEAlready Tried: Putting in a new haddrive to get all of the program out it is still not working, Program has worked before and works in other computers
HiCustomer The persistence of your problem even after installing Print Artist to a clean hard drive suggests TWO possible configuration issues that might be causing the problem - 1. Print Artist expects a PRINTER to be installed on the PC. If your PC doesn't have a functional printer driver installed, this might be causing the Print Artist program to produce errors. If you DO have a printer driver installed and working, try uninstalling it and reinstalling it again, and see if that makes any difference to the Print Artist program. You might need to follow this sequence of action to be sure to nail any problems down - a. UNINSTALL the Print Artist program. b. UNINSTALL any existing Printer Drivers. c. REINSTALL any required Printer Drivers. d. REINSTALL the Print Artist program. 2. The [ SIERRA.INI ] file will be persistent across installs / uninstalls of the Print Artist program. It will be located on the same hard drive as the operating system, and so won't necessarily be removed if you uninstalled and reinstalled the Print Artist program on a clean hard drive. The [ SIERRA.INI ] file might have bad entries in it - if so, you will have to locate that file on your PC and DELETE it in order to correct the problem. I would suggest the following sequence of action - a. UNINSTALL the Print Artist program. b. Find and DELETE the [ SIERRA.INI ] file. c. REINSTALL the Print Artist program. If those two steps don't fix the problem, then you might have to delete the entire Sierra folder instead of just the Sierra.ini file before reinstalling the Print Artist program. I hope this helps to sort out the problem. Regards, BusyBee.
