Ok, let's take a look at this;
On the back of your surround sound system, there should be a Cable/SAT in you will need to connect it by way of RCA cable, Red to red, Black to Black and then Yellow to Yellow.

Receiver Brand and Model?
Anything else you are going to hook up as well, This will allow me to see your equipment and give you the best answer.

I know you have a Comcast Box... But what Model?
I don't know what DVD Player you have?
Does the Surround sound look like this

Great that is what we need,
You need to connect the cable coming Out of the Cable/Sat to the IN on your Modem with the Coax Cable and then connect the three OUT's to the Receiver as seen in the picture.
Then just connect your DVD to the DVD in as shown below. My First choice is Coaxial, but if you have the other cable use my second choice.
