This answer was rated:

i tunes won't play my music properly. I uninstalled and reinstalled, still the same problem. I used i tunes to burn a CD and then played that same CD using itunes the sound was perfect. I tried to play the same CD from my library and its staticy, offspeed, horrible. Why is this happening and what can I do solve the problem?

thank you for responding to my question, I believe you helped me on previous question with a solution I was never able to try as my friend continues to send me DVDs.
The above link is the closest I've come to a solution as to what the problem may be. It seems to be linked to my CPU. I don't know what CPU is, but as it grows above a hundred and stays there seems to affect my music.
I am a novice at all of this, I files are in a AAC they seem to play great as CDs, a play better with Windows media player, and today they play fine and my CPU is between 50 and a hundred and well yesterday was between 95 and 100.
My system is a brand new Dell laptop with Pentium M and windows XP professional. What is CPU? What controls it? Could this be the problem?

Yes, I answered a previous question, but didn't get payed as you found a solution in the way of DVDs.

Your computer shouldn't be a problem, try downloading Winamp. It can handle AACs (non-copy protected), M4As and most other major file formats, I prefer this over iTunes.
You said your CD played fine, so it may be corrupt files, however you say Windows Media Player is better.

I suggest you run a virus scan, anti-spyware scan and a HiJackThis scan nonetheless. You can download HiJackThis from http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3155.html .
When you do send me a HiJackThis log. I suggest you use Winamp nonetheless, and if you need iPod support download this and if you want the iTunes look you can download a skin from http://winamp.com/skins/details.php?id=138421.
If Winamp doesn't even play well I suggest you try to convert the files to MP3s.

Reply to Paul's Post: Thank you for your help. I am hoping to still get a chance to use your other answer. My friend has yet to welcome me back to try it.
I tried a virus scan with McAfee and found nothing, I will try the links you suggested. I hate to give up itunes has it was the iPod which tricked me into my first computer of my life this year. This new computer is an upgrade from a dell laptop with Pentium 2, and 5gb, the new one has Pentium M and 60 gb, yet at idle the old computer uses between six and 20% of CPU, and my new computer hovers between 50 and hundred spiking out at hundred percent 40 times per minute, with system idle using the most between 50 and 80. Thanks again for a help stay warm JP
By anti-spyware I mean you should use Ad-Aware, Spybot or Microsoft AntiSpyware. Search Google.
