The right answer to your question really depends upon where the code is running. Presumably in the parent window, right?

So, just use a reference to the parent window. There might be several ways of doing that. By window number, or by

this.window.[etc.etc.]

perhaps, though the 'this' keyword is deserving of some caution in its use.

What do you need to do after focus is returned to the main window,

window.[0]

or etc./similarly... ?
