No, that's fine thank you Lindie. I'm happy to wait until he is available.
Hi JoshuaC. No problem.
I have moved to another host as Infinology failed to update their PhpMyAdmin software so, we should be rockin' and rollin' at Lecaff.fr soon. I'm going to need help to get it started, for sure.
To business; I've designed the site with summer visitors carrying small-screen hand-held devices in mind. If the visitor is sitting in front of her pc, I'd like to direct her to be directed to a set of files built for a wide screen.
To get started; I need to put all of the present site's files in one folder called, say, mobile and make another folder with a new set of files called pc. Then upload mobile to lecaff.fr and pc to a sub-domain say, LecaffPC ? I haven't finished reading the article but I have an 11am meet about my (slow) progress so want to get on with it.
Thanks. That is the sort of answer I need just now, I've a huge amount of work to get done before 1st June.
I've got the script saved as index.html that covers mobile use where is the redirect for pc users?
This is the end of the script
I'll change http://detectmobilebrowser.com/mobile to mobile.lecaff.fr Which will be a subdomain of lecaff.fr
Now I have
|------- mobile.lecaff.fr|--- Website Files|------- lecaff.fr|--- Website Files
In lecaff.fr/index.php I'll paste the script from detectmobile into the header
Sorry JoshuaC, I know that makes sense to you. Are you saying that the answer to myquestion is
paste http://www.w3schools.com/php/php_includes.asp into the top of index.php
Okay, thank you, XXXXX XXXXX test it now as I'm so pressed for time. I need your help on other bits but I feel they will take more time than I'm paying for. What is the fairest way for both of us?
I have to go to the meeting now so, I'll be off line for a few hours. These are the items that I'll need help on, I'll need to upload the site to the new host so that you can see it:
Page Recevez nouvelles Previously, you recommended I do not allow visitors to send information to my database which is on phpMyAdmin. If the only way is via an email; I need the visitors choices to be sent to me via a form in Index.php. I have the form's action set to POST , to a file called contact.php. When I test it, the form seems to work (it vanishes when I submit) but then what? The data that I type in doesn't appear anywhere and I'm left on a blank "undefined" page. I would much prefer to enable the information to go directly and securely to phpmyadmin though. Are you sure I can't do that? How do sites like yours do it?Page Leaders Event organisers currently send information to me by email which I then have to wade through and put on my database. I would like a form for them to fill in on the website so that at least the data would be in the right place or (dreams are made of this) a page that simply updates the database.Page Evenements When a visitor clicks on the "choices" button, they see a list of the "type of event" that is on the database. I would like the data that displays on that page to be in accord with their choice. Page Restaurant Only three headers(?) from the menu are shown, how do I show them all?
I've signed up as a regular client, I dare say I won't regret it.

I'd still like to get the website working.
