Hi I just sent a request through for a .cgi script and was confused why this was then sent out to the experts again. This is my first time using JustAnswer so I'm sure this is a dumb question! HAHA. BTW I'm English but live in the USA - I see you're English.
Hi
I am not sure I understand what are you confused about?!
Hey there!
Oh, I got a couple of weird screens up after I thought I agreed with yourself and it threw me off! Sorry
no problem...
is there anything I can help you with?
Did you see my question that I posted? It has to do with making a .cgi script
The .cgi script should verify that the form data is complete before displaying the data on a Web page. Here's the first .html file:
<HTML>
<HEAD><TITLE>Phoenix Industries-name & address page</TITLE></HEAD>
<BODY>
<FORM ACTION="~ann3662/cgi-bin/c12case1.cgi" METHOD="POST">
<H1 ALIGN=center>Welcome to Phoenix Industries!</H1>
<H2 ALIGN=center>Please complete <U>all</U> the following information and click "Submit":<BR><BR>
Name       <INPUT TYPE=text NAME=Name><BR><BR>Address   <INPUT TYPE=text NAME=Address><BR><BR>City          <INPUT TYPE=text NAME=City><BR><BR>State         <INPUT TYPE=text NAME=State><BR><BR>Zip Code  <INPUT TYPE=text NAME=Zip><BR><BR><BR>
<INPUT TYPE=submit VALUE=Submit> <INPUT TYPE=reset></H2>
</FORM>
</BODY>
</HTML>
If one or more form entries are blank, the script should immediately redirect the user's browser to the next .html document (using the Location header to redirect the browser). Here's the .html document:
<HEAD>
<TITLE>Phoenix Industries-return to form</TITLE>
</HEAD>
<H1 ALIGN=center>Please press your browser's Back button to return to the form. Then complete all items.</H1>

Hi, I will be able to help you with this. What programming language does the cgi script have to be written in? When do you need this by?
Perl. As soon as possible
Oh, unfortunately Perl is not one of the languages I cover, so I will opt out so that an expert that works with Perl can assist you. The question will be listed as available so that other experts can opt-in to help you (I cannot provide an estimate for how long this will take).
OK.
