Hello I have been using Excel 2003 for years now which has been working absolutely fine until today but it suddenly seems as though I have changed something fundamental - and I certainly didn't do it on purpose. Now, when I copy a formula, it has suddenly started copying the value resulting from that formula instead of the formula. At the same time it will only let me copy the same number of cells. for example, I can't copy one cell down a whole column, or a row of formulae down several rows. I can only copy a single cell or the same shaped block. But even if that was working it wouldn't do me any good as I can't copy the formulae anyway. I didn't know it was possible to change the defaults in this way and so would have no idea how to do it on purpose. I can't begin to imagine how I managed to do it.Please can you tell me how to put it right. Many thanks, Julia

Hello Julia,
Did you by any chance install or update Skype or any of its component programs recently?
How weird that there should be a connection.
Yes I usually accept Skype updates when they are on offer, and there was one yesterday.
Yes that is the culprit. There is a known conflict with the latest Skype update, particularly the Click To Call component which interferes with Excel's clipboard operations.
You need to uninstall Click To Call (and also preferably Skype). After that your Excel Copy/Paste functions should be restored
Try that and let me know if you still need help
Thank you
Well would you Adam and Eve it !!!!
I've been sitting up half the night [I'm in the middle of France] tearing my hair out because I'm in the middle of both my French and UK tax returns.
Thank you soooOOOOH much John D Everything is working just fine now.
However, what do I do about Skype. Does this mean I can't use it now?
Great. Glad I could help
Try using the basic Skype program (without the Click To Call utility). If you still have problems you can get back to me after accepting.
Thanks in advance....
