Hello and welcome to JustAnswer. I look forward to assisting you today with your question and providing the best answer possible.

Given, Mean Time between Failure (MTBF) = 80 hours

Mean Time To Recovery (MTTR) = 72 hours

We have Availability = MTBF / (MTBF + MTTR)

= 80 / (80 + 72)

= 80 / 152

= 0.526

= 52.6%

So The server is available 52.6% of the time.

where do you get the numbers 80 and 72 from?

Sorry.typo..the formula remains same though.

MTBF = 28 weeks = 28*7 days = 28*7*24 hours = 4704 hours

and an MTTR of 504 hours

Availability = MTBF / (MTBF + MTTR)

= 4704/ (4704+504) = 4704 / 5208

= .9032

= 90.32%
