I'm trying to make a wireless connection to a Sony bdv-e2100 to stream Netflix but I keep getting ( service can not be accessed (because the server replied with incorrect or invalid information
JA: Have you tested the connections by doing a ping utility test?
Customer: sorry but I have no idea what that is
JA: What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: nothing I'm just getting started
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: None and I don't have a clue

This is usually a firmware or connectivity issue.

Start by going into the sony setup menu and looking for the firmware (software) update function and run that to check for and install any available updates, and let me know the results.

If it doesn't find anything or gives an error, let me know what it shows as the current version, please.
