I forgot password... not sure.. I usually can enter my house

I forgot password...
JA: When did you last reset your username and password?
Customer: not sure..
JA: What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: I usually can enter my house and my cell phone will automatically connect to my wi fi...has not connected for several days
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I have called cox cable...they have rebooted...I have spoken to them several times all to no avail...then they suggested calling Belkin.....called and could not understand a word the person said.
JA: Anything else you want the network expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Just that my cell phone asks for password ***** I do not know it.

This may be a fault with the iPhone, lets check it first. If that does not work we can check your network settings.
Please try this first on your iPhone, follow these steps>

Tap Settings.
Tap General.
Scroll down t.o the bottom of the page and tap Reset>Tap Reset Network Settings.

You will get a prompt warning you that this option will delete all network settings and return them to factory default settings. Tap Reset to continue.
Wait while your iPhone resets its network settings.

Once the reset process is done, your network settings will return to its factory default settings. Your iPhone will also automatically restart. Then try reconnecting your iPhone to the network again.

Tap Settings > Wi-Fi.

Available Wi-Fi networks appears under "Choose a Network..."

Locate and tap your home network,

Tap in your Password-
