Customer Question

I can't connect my laptop to the hotel wifi

Customer: Dell Inspiron 5755 & Windows 10 home
JA: What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: From Wi-Fi to Show Available Networks to a gray box pops up & the computer starts thinking. The only known networks my computer shows are my home, my school, & anothet one my son uses. It doesn't show the Comfort Suites connection
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Everything I could think of, including calling the Guest Internet Support number.
JA: Anything else you want the network expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Not that I can think of

Hey there, I'm Tim. Usually they give you the WIFI name and password, or you connect to the open WIFI and open, usually internet explorer because it does not work with all browsers, and accept and agree to their terms, then you can use any browser.

I have the password, but can't even get to the point to enter it.

And you see no WIFI connections? In any hotel there would be several.

IS there a MCdonalds, or a coffee shop around, like across the street, to see if you can go there and see their WIFI network, just as a test? We want to see if there is a possible hardware failure with the WIFI adapter, very rare for t hem to die in a laptop, but not unheard of, it happens and you can get really cheap USB wifi cards pretty much anywhere (walmart)
