my computer is not reading the installation disk that came with the linksy router
JA: Have you tried "power cycling" your router -- unplugging it and letting it rest for about ten seconds?
Customer: ok i will try that
JA: What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: i went to the linsysmartwifi sight and tried to get some help there is nothing coming up when i insert disc
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: nothing cause I cant even get the install going

Is the router connected to your modem and your computer connected to the router such that you

have an internet connection right now?

I understand. Are you able to connect to the wireless network that is listed on your quick start guide?

Once your wireless computer is connected to the network the router is broadcasting,

open your browser (Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, for example)

The browser should automatically open the the Linksys setup page.

If it does not, type: linksyssmartwifi.com

in the browser address bar and press Enter and it should take you there. You can then set up the internet connection

and configure the wireless.
