Customer Question

Hi. Are you an actual person or a computer?
JA: No. I'm the Network Technician's Assistant.
Customer: Okay. Well basically im in an appartment building and my wifi is awful. So I bought a router. Im trying to get it on the network and im having some issues.
JA: Just to clarify, what's the make and model of your machine, and what operating system are you running?
Customer: Im not on a PC right now. Im using a google onhub router.
JA: What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: Uhhhhh. Nothing. It just says to sign in to the grande thing.
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Different Wall outlets. I gave the grande portal my mac address for the router and registered the device.
JA: Anything else you want the network expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I dont think so.

Hi there, I'm Tim.....tell me a little more about this off signal problem...

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
I mean it's not a off signal problem. My apartment complex has awful Wi-Fi, so i got myself a router and im just trying to get it to work
Expert:  Tim replied 3 months ago.

RIght, so there is like free public WIFI at the apartment right? And you are wanting a better signal, so you bought a router correct? Did you also get an ISP? (internet service provider)

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
Grande Communications is the ISP at my complex. Im paying for it already.
Expert:  Tim replied 3 months ago.

OK, so is Grande Communications that your paying for like part of your rent type thing, or did you contact Grande Communications directly and get your own account?
