Hello. My name is***** to JustAnswer. I'm reviewing your question now, and will post back with your reply momentarily.

Expert:  Isaac Franklin replied 7 months ago.

Name/model of your router?

Does anything else see wifi such as a phone, xbox, etc?

Are all the lights light up?

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
Actiontec F2250
Phone sees the connection, and connects, but no wireless.
Wireless light and DSL 1 are on, but no Internet light. Would allow remote access, but problem is with router, not pc.
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
I am currently connected to the router via Ethernet. But don't know what to look for.
Expert:  Isaac Franklin replied 7 months ago.

If you see automated remote support, please dont accept yet. Just ignore it please.

What type of computer are you running the ethernet too? make/model?

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
HP Pavilion 15 Flyer
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
Also, the router setup page says the WAN connection is stuck on Connecting.
Expert:  Isaac Franklin replied 7 months ago.

Where are you seeing the router set up page? ARe you logged into it from the web ?

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
By entering the router ip into the url bar. It's through Frontier.
Expert:  Isaac Franklin replied 7 months ago.

Yes, but where do you have it open at? The computer?

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
My computer.
Expert:  Isaac Franklin replied 7 months ago.

Okay, lets try to start over. Sign out of what you are in. close everything down.

This is a manual that should walk you through your set up correctly.

Can you tell me if you are able to follow the set up for this ?

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
After resetting, the power light is solid red. No connection via Ethernet.
Expert:  Isaac Franklin replied 7 months ago.

When you say reset. Did you unplug or push the reset button pin hole?

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
The reset pin hole.
Expert:  Isaac Franklin replied 7 months ago.

I am going to open this up to other experts to troubleshoot along with you.

If it is reset, it should be 'primed' to be set up via computer.

Please standby.

The ethernet connection is working now, but I do not get a setup wizard like it says in the guide.
Expert:  Viet - Network Tech replied 7 months ago.

Hi,

I'm sorry about the issue. I'm another tech; I will help you with this.

So wired Ethernet connection is working now. Is wireless working now also? Or is there any error or message?

Can we do a remote support session, so I can troubleshoot the issue directly on your computer together with you?
Please reply at the box below. Thank you,

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
The ethernet is only allowing me to connect to the router setup, not the internet. The wireless light is on, but I can't get any Wi-Fi. Can you connect remotely without me having internet?
Expert:  Viet - Network Tech replied 7 months ago.

With there Ethernet cable connected from the computer to the Actiontec F2250 modem / router, when you go through the router setup, what happens? Is there any error or message?

Please let me know. Thank you.

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
Its supposed to start some sort of setup wizard, but it only takes me to the setup pages. I don't know what to check.
Expert:  Viet - Network Tech replied 7 months ago.

Who's your internet service provider?

Did you go to the website below or another website for the router's setup page?

http://192.168.254.254/

- Does it show Setup Wizard option anywhere? Or what are the options when going to the router's setup website?

Please let me know. Thank you,

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
ISP is Frontier Communications.
Used that website you linked.
I have tabs for Main, Wireless, Network, Firewall, and Advanced.
Expert:  Viet - Network Tech replied 7 months ago.

What are the options after clicking on the Main tab?

How about clicking on the Advanced tab?

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
Under Main, I am just given a WAN Summary, Wireless Summary, Private LAN Summary, Public LAN Summary, Firewall LAN Summary, and Gateway Summary.Advanced tab:
Broadband settings
Connection settings
LAN settings
DHCP server
Ethernet ports
DNS
Routing
QoS
Utilities
Administration
Remote GUI
Configuration
Firmware
Logging
Reboot
Expert:  Viet - Network Tech replied 7 months ago.

In Advanced tab, select Connection settings, then let me know what it shows next. Thank you,

Customer: replied 7 months ago.

Info has been entered and applied.
Expert:  Viet - Network Tech replied 7 months ago.

Please see if a website such as google.com or yahoo.com is working now on your computer. Please let me know. Thank you,

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
No. Still getting no Internet light on router.
Expert:  Viet - Network Tech replied 7 months ago.

Please make sure the phone line is connected securely from the wall to the modem / router.

- Do you know if you have Frontier DSL internet service with Dynamic IP Address or Static IP Address?

Is your landline phone, if any, working fine?

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
I believe it to be dynamic, and I have no landline with my isp.
Expert:  Viet - Network Tech replied 7 months ago.

Do you have another phone line cable to try?

And/or is there any other wall phone jack in your house to try the router on?

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
I am absolutely sure it is neither the cable or the jack. All I did was unplug the power cable and plug it back up.
Expert:  Viet - Network Tech replied 7 months ago.

Sorry, since there is no internet light, it could be a coincidence that your Frontier DSL internet service is down. Have you checked with Frontier?

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
I have. They said the connection on their end was flawless. I did have some incorrect information entered in my wireless settings, but even after fixing it, I have no internet. They said they would have an advanced support technician contact me within the hour.
Expert:  Viet - Network Tech replied 7 months ago.

I'm sorry. Wireless is not the issue as even Ethernet connection is not working, and the Internet light is not showing. Do you have another modem? OK, please wait for the advanced support tech. Thank you,

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
This is the only modem I have. Hoping I don't have to replace it, because its impertinent that I have internet for work.
Expert:  Viet - Network Tech replied 7 months ago.

OK, please wait for the advanced support tech to contact you and to check the connection status on your end. Thank you for your patience,

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
I was never contacted by the advanced support tech. I'll just have to wait for my isp to come service my modem.
