Honestly, the choice for a new router depends on what your budget is. The best brand for wireless routers that you can purchase is the Linksys or Cisco brand. You can find several different options for these branded routers at any store that sells computer items. Any Linksys / Cisco router will work best.

Any of those will work great for you.

You may update the firmware by following the instructions below:
- Log into your Router at the following page: http://www.routerlogin.net/

Default username: admin

Default password: password

- Click ADVANCED tab > Administration > Firmware Upgrade.

- Click Browse and find the file you just downloaded.

- Click Upload. Do not interrupt the upgrade while the router does this step.

When that completes, you will be all set.

I don't understand that either. You didn't mention that. You first have to download the firmware file from the Internet before you can do that.

We have internet but we just changed lite speed to high speed and no one mentioned that we would lose internet access till we changed the a to a #1

Still not working
I think it is because router has been changed thru MTS Provider thru email. They (MTS) said I need to update the router but I cannot get the Internet.
I am on the page and it says download should start automatically in a few seconds.

In that case, you cannot update it. If they are running an altered version of the firmware, only they have the correct firmware copies.
