Have old Netgear router. I have name of password, but not security WPA2. It is not listed on bottom of router.
JA: Have you tried "power cycling" your router -- unplugging it and letting it rest for about ten seconds?
Customer: Thanks
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: Has not been running for roughly a months
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Changed wires but never able to get wiFI
JA: Anything else you want the network expert to know before I connect you?

Hi!

Make sure you are following these steps from a computer that is directly connected to the router...

From this connected computer go to one of the links below:

http://routerlogin.net

http://192.168.1.1

A login prompt should pop up, to login use admin as the username, and password or 1234 as the password

Once in, click Wireless Settings > In the SSID box type a name for your network > Pick WPA or WPA2 for the security type

In the passphrase box make a password, at least 10 characters > Save or apply your settings. Wait 2 minutes then try to connect.
