Customer Question

How do I do this with connection to better netgear if my connection is locked
JA: Netgear issue, huh? Fortunately, the wizards we work with know tech inside and out, and I'd like to connect you with the best one for this.
Customer: Ok
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: You have the information to unlock my netgear router but it says in order to follow through with the instructions i have to be connected to the netgear. But how can I do that if it locked. That's the whole reason I'm doing these steps is to unlock it
JA: The network expert can solve this for you. Anything else you want him to know before I connect you two?
Customer: No that's it
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Network Technician about your situation and then connect you two.

Hi,

I'm sorry about the issue. Are you looking for your wi-fi / wireless password?

What is the model of your router?

Do you have a laptop / wireless computer that is currently connected via wireless? If so, does it have Windows xp, vista, or 7, 8, 10, or Mac?

Please reply at the box below. Thank you.

Hello
Expert:  Viet - Network Tech replied 10 months ago.

I'm sorry; I'm not asking if your router is locked or not. I know that your router is locked. I'm asking if you have a computer or not. Please answer this question: Do you have a computer or not?

Are you not going to answer me
Expert:  Viet - Network Tech replied 10 months ago.

I'm sorry. You need to answer my questions first, so I can gather more information about the issue first, then I can troubleshoot and provide you the solution:

- You need to connect a computer to the router with an extra Ethernet / network cable first in order to access the router, then we can retrieve the router's wireless password.

Please answer this question: Do you have a computer or not?

Please reply at the box below to continue; we guarantee our service. Thank you,
