When you enter your new wireless password ***** tap connect,
what error message are you receiving?
Hold you finger down on your wireless network name on the Kindle and when the menu appears
tell the Kindle to "Forget" the network.
Then, leave this page up on your screen. Remove the power cable from your router for
60 seconds and plug it back in and the router will restart (this page will start working again when the router comes up)
On your Kindle, slide and hold the power button down for 30 seconds and release.
After the Kindle reboots try to connect it again.

I'm not trying to connect to you. I posted some instructions above. Have you done those things to try
and get the Kindle connected?

Not yet. Is your laptop connected wirelessly?
Or is it connected to the router with a cable?
Try the instructions I posted above first as I can't do those things even if I'm connected to you.
