Question on my apple tv. suddenly won't connect (message "no signal"). Went online to talk to tech person, but I don't have the serial number of the apple tv. Help

If you go into the setup menu on the appletv (settings menu, icon looks like a gear), then to network/wifi, does it show as connected there?
If so, let it "scan" or search for networks and see if it can find your home wifi network.

If it does, put in your password ***** reconnect.

If not, unplug power to both the atv and your router for 60+ seconds to reboot, then try again.
