I'm having a connection problem Wi-Fi. Useing a Toshiba

Customer Question

I'm having a connection problem Wi-Fi. Useing a Toshiba Laptop that used to connect with no problem, now connects with the Home Network but will not go on to the Internet. All other devices in the house connect just fine. I have tried shutting down the modem and bringing back up. I'm not sure what else to do.

Hi,

I'm sorry about the issue. When did this issue first occur?

Can you please confirm the Toshiba laptop has Windows 7?

Please reply at the box below. Thank you.

If you test connecting the Toshiba laptop to the Netgear modem device with an extra Ethernet/network cable, does internet work or not?

When you are available, please type at the box below, then click on the Send button below to communicate with me. Thank you.

On the Toshiba laptop, can you click on Start->All programs->Accessories->Command Prompt

, then type ipconfig then press Enter key, then tell me the IP address and Default Gateway numbers

, then type ping google.com then press Enter, then tell me the result.

Please reply at the box below to continue troubleshooting. Thank you.
