I bought a Yamaha RX-V479 receiver and trying to connect

Customer Question

I bought a Yamaha RX-V479 receiver and trying to connect wi-fi with it. My TV is old and, for some reason, online display from the receiver does not appear on TV. I am failing every time I try to connect it to Wi-Fi. How can I connect Wi-Fi to the receiver?

Hi there,

The built-in wifi on the Yamaha RX-V479 may be incompatible with the wireless security settings on your router.

Try temporarily disabling the security settings and then try connecting the receiver again - if it can connect ok this confirms there is a conflict with the old security settings and you will need to try using an alternative security type.
