Hi,
I'm sorry about the issue. What's the model of your ThinkPad, such as T61, or X250, etc.? Please check at the back/bottom of the laptop.
Can you confirm it has windows 7? or another windows version?
What kind of password ***** ***** such as Wi-Fi/wireless password, or computer login's password?
Does it show a username or name and/or an email address at the password/login screen?
Please reply at the box below. Thank you.

Thank you. Is it okay to reset the computer fresh, so you can re-set it up fresh, like brand-new, with a new password ***** want?
Please reply at the box below. Thank you.

Thank you. Can you please shut down the laptop, then turn it back on, then right away, keep pressing & releasing the key F11 quickly and repeatedly until a recovery menu appears, then do the factory restore/reset.

- If it does not work, do the same steps above, but with the blue ThinkVantage button at the top.

Please reply at the box below to continue troubleshooting. Thank you.
