A friend gave me s router Model C3700. I have connected it

Customer Question

A friend gave me his router Model C3700. I have connected it to my computer but can't sign in because he doesn't remember the password. How can I made the router "my own" with a name and a password? Is there some sort of reset?

Hello, I’m Nathan, and I’ll be assisting you today. My livelihood depends on your positive feedback, so your satisfaction is my highest priority.

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble.

Look on the back of the router, where you'll find a small hole. Take a paperclip, and with it powered on, press and hold the button inside that hole (you should feel/hear a slight click when it is pressed) and hold for a full 30+ seconds

This will factory reset your router.

At that point, the GUI is accessible at 192.168.1.1 or routerlogin.net from your connected browser
