We have Comcast Xfinity Internet, we bought a Motorola

Customer Question

We have Comcast Xfinity Internet, we bought a Motorola Surfboard Modem/Router. My phone, desktop, iPad and laptop stay connected most of the time, however the other 3 people in my family have continuous problems.
Their phones, tablets, xbox, laptops and our DVD player won't stay connected and we have to unplug the modem constantly to get them to connect again. When we do this many of the devices require we reenter the password (which is ridiculously long). And you can easily spend 20 minutes trying to get them to reconnect.
Comcast technical support has been horrible so i was wondering if here can help figure why devices won't stay connected?

Try updating the firmware on the Motorola modem/router.

No, I can't figure out how to update it. I will have to work on this when I have a couple hours, probably this weekend. If I can't get it I will be back in touch. Thanks
