I am staying in a hotel with wifi access. In the main room the signal is good.
In our room the signal is poor.
I have installed a wifi repeater on my computer which shows full strength.
However I cannot get an internet connection

The wifi router will need to be authenticated and accepted by the main router of the hotel, else it will be blocked.
Can you check with the hotel staff if they can have the repeater authenticated, else while you will be able to connect to the repeater, as it does not connect to the router itself and is allowed to communicate with it, it will not provide any internet and the only way to get this to work will be to have the main router allow it which the hotel staff would have to do.
