I have a new Linksys router (an E8350) and am trying to connect it to a VisionNet ADSL2 +4 Port Ethernet Modem (model 504). I see computer to router but not to the internet, can you help?

Does it have XP, Vista, 7, or 8?

On that computer..
Click on Start then in the search box: type CMD
Right click on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
in the box screen type:
ipconfig /release (there is a space between ipconfig and /release)
next type:
ipconfig /renew (there is a space between ipconfig and /renew)
After the process is complete, type in: exit and press enter
Try connecting again
