I found what looks like an illegal t connector in the power

Customer Question

I found what looks like an illegal t connector in the power hub of my condo. I don't care about piggybacks, but is my info secure? I was told that I am now in a network where my passwords can be seen, and sites monitored by the illegal splicer

Hi. My name is***** you for your question and the opportunity to assist. Is this a connection made in a location where the internet service provider runs their service into the building?
This sounds more like theft of service than anything else but I need to ask a few questions.
