Dell vostro 1500 will not get internet. the wireless window says there are no wireless networks found in range. Other computers in the house are connected

Yes I have never had a problem connecting. I did reboot it this morning, and it was after that that I could not connect to anything.

there are three, one of which is the currently installed modem

a couple of weeks ago, but its been working fine with my laptop until this morning, and it is still working with all of the other laptops in the house, so I don't think its the router.

Oh I didn't suspect the router. I was speaking about the device list on the device manager

CAT5 cable RJ45 connector looks like a phone cord only larger those are RJ11s

I don't think I have one, and if I do it will take forever to find it

Ok well we need one to update the driver, but thats ok we can still check a couple other things. XP for some reason drops drivers now and again. Although your device did say the Wireless card was functioning.

have a Dell Vostro 1500 that can not connect to the internet and I tried to repair the network connection and says unable to complete following action because RENEWING IP ADDRESS A tech on your site helped me with this last week, but I did not write it down, and I cannot remember what we did
