I am trying to connect to a couple free VPN websites. Everytime

I am trying to connect to a couple free VPN websites. Everytime I try and try and connect through my networking and sharing settings... It says "The Wizard Cannot Connect"...

I'm not... it's a free vpn site.

it gives you the server address, the password XXXXX the username..... all you do is plug it in... and your good to go.

Customer:

However, I can't connect... and I have no clue why.

Go to start > Control panel > security > windows firewall.

so I did what you asked , and turned the UAC off..... and still nothing.

is there anyway I can get an unregisterd version of windows?? cause I don't have the money to pay 2-3 hundred for a full version of windows... Even 80-100 bucks is too much.

At best, XXXXX XXXXX get a trial version of Windows that will allow you to do what you want, but you'll be back in the same boat once it expires

You may however be able to get a cheap student version of windows. Let me see how much those are.

I'm trying my wife's laptop and trying the vpn on that to see if it's an issue with both computers or just this desktop.

Lot's of people have recently upgraded to windows 8, you may be able to find a friend or co-worker that has an available copy of windows 7.

Ok... when and if you find a valid version of windows, you'll most likely need to re-install windows.

actually when I went to go get a new computer... THIS was the version they put on... They basically made the computer... so this was the version they put on.

I only ask because we are dealing with a BITCH of a scenario over here... my wife lost her job and we feel like it's because she's pregnant... and the only way to know is if we get info on the employers... and to get info.. you need to get inside....or have their emails....
