There is no way to broadcast your computer screen via wireless connection.
You will either need to use the VGA cable or a DVI cable depending on what outputs and inputs you can match up with the laptop and the TV
oops I meant VGA or HDMI sorry about that
I myself use the HDMI option.
it has a better graphics quality then the normal VGA option
The Bravia has an input for "pc". How do I connect my computer to this input?
Your laptop has a VGA output usually on the side on the left side
You will need a VGA cable that has a blue connector that goes to both
what does the VGA output look like and how do I connect it to the back of my TV.
check this link out
have you every hooked up a monitor to a desktop computer?
It would be the same cable
if you give me your laptops make and model I can see if I can find specific instructions for you
No. I have a MacBook Pro and I have located the cable. Where does it connect to the back of the TV?
You should see a port called PC port on the side or back of your TV
so it depends on what ports are available on your macbook pro
do you have a HDMI connection?
Got it! Now, once I make the connection, I set the input to pc and I should be able to see on my TV exactly what is on my computer screen?
Thanks, that should do it. If not, I'll get back with you.
are you able to make sure it works before you leave?
Ok. I will try. Wrong cable. I am off to Radio Shack
can we verify what ports you have on the side of your macbook
this way we know we get the correct cable
I looks like the standard earplug port.
click this link and tell me which one is yours
MacBook Pro 17" mid 2010
ok you have the mini display port
so we need a mini display port to VGA or you could go Mini Display port to HDMI.
I am sure your TV has a spare HDMI port correct?
does have a 3rd HDMI port.
I would rather use the HDMI port on the TV. Much better quality
Here is the adapter but you still will need a HDMI chord if you dont have one
