Customer: replied 2 years ago.

OK now I have "connections available," but when I try to get on I get:

You have no preferred wireless networks

and

A network cable is not properly plugged in or may be broken.

I would like for Internet Explorer to be my preferred wireless network, not Google Crome if possible.

And I would like to be wireless no plugged in.

Thank you for all your patience and help.

Expert:  Jason replied 2 years ago.

Please, switch out the cable with one that is being used with another computer and is known to be good.

Once that is complete, please, reboot and test again.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

I plugged the cable into the router and into the laptop.

Now I have a connection, but cannot again connect to the internet.

I am back to the beginning!
