Step 1:
Launch your computer’s web browser.

Step 2:
Enter the router's IP address on the Address bar then press Return.

NOTE: The IP address is 192.168.1.1 by default for most Linksys routers. If the IP address of the router has been changed, enter the current IP address. For instructions on how to check your router's IP address, click here.

NOTE: The router's default IP address can be personalized by changing it on the router's web-based setup page. To learn how, click here.

Step 3:
Enter your router’s username and password XXXXX the prompt and click Login to continue.

NOTE: If you have not changed the name and password XXXXX your router, leave the Name field blank and enter admin in the Password field.

Have you tried these steps...

To find the Local IP address of a Linksys router, you need to perform three steps:

  1. Connecting the Mac to the Router
  2. Checking if the Mac is Set to DHCP
  3. Checking the Router’s IP Address

Connecting the Mac to the Router

Connect the Mac to any of the Ethernet ports on the router, then proceed to the steps below.

 

 

 

Step 1:
Click the Apple menu located at the upper right-hand corner of the screen, then select System Preferences.

NOTE: You may use other options to access System Preferences.

Step 2:
Under System Preferences click Network.

Step 3:
When the Network screen appears, look for Location and select Automatic then under Show select Built-in Ethernet.

Step 4:
Take note that the Router is your router’s local IP address.

Step 5:

Click .
