Kindle Fire, I have this as a wireless network with 4 computers functioning on the network.
Do you have other devices on the network using the wireless router and can connect to the Internet?Lets try setting the Kindle fire to use a static address and see if we can get this to work.Touch in the upper right corner where you see the signal.Choose the MORE optionGo to Wireless NetworkThen touch Advanced SettingsThen turn on Use Static IPUSe this information and put it in each field.IP address192.168.1.108Router192.168.1.254Subnet255.255.255.0DNS18.8.8.8DNS28.8.4.4Then see if you get any where. If this works then there is a DNS issue some where.
I have 3 other computers running on my network. I don't think the problem is with my wireless. I populated the fields on the kindle as you suggested and the only ones different from what I had originally was DNS 1 and DNS 2. I am still unable to connect properly. I can't get this thing to register so it is useless at this point.
Lets try to power cycle it then try while I look for more information. Hold the power button down for 20 seconds let it power off. Then turn it back on again.
