OK, thank you! In order to setup security please follow the steps below:

1- Click here ---> 192.168.1.1

2- A new window will prompt for a User name and Password. Leave the User name field blank then enter your router’s password ("admin" is the default password, without the quotes), then click OK.

3- Click Wireless on top (usually the second menu option)

4- Click Basic Wireless Settings (usually already selected)

5- Select Manual

6- Enter the new name you want next to SSID. (Or leave it like that. This is your network name)

7- Click "Wireless Security"

8- Select WPA2 Personal

9- Enter the new password XXXXX to "Passphrase". This will be your new wireless network password.

10- Click Save Settings. Wait 5 minutes without trying to connect.

11- IMPORTANT ----> You MAY lose connection after configuring the password. Please turn off the wireless router, wait 15 seconds and turn it ON, then wait 5 minutes (yes please, 5 minutes), and then connect to your wireless network, it will ask you the new password.

I cordially request that you do not take a correct answer as a bad or poor answer.

Please ONLY select "Good or Excellent Service" below (and then click Submit) so I can get a positive feedback in justanswer.com. If you are not ready to do so, click "REPLY TO EXPERT"

I followed the directions and was able to change passphrase and reconnect. Now, how do I make sure or know the connection is secure?
