Customer Question

purchased e1200 have set it up with network cable from existing adsl modem to Wi Fi router
& from port back to desktop,run setup from disc,desktop will not connect to internet/nook is picking up strong wifi signal,do i need to change something,am using windows 7

Please, follow the instructions below:
- Plug the DSL modem into the WAN plug on the router
- Plug a computer into one of the four LAN plugs on the router
- With the power to the router ON, press the reset button on the back of the router with a paperclip or pin for 30 seconds.
- Wait 30 seconds
- Click the following link ---> http://192.168.1.1
Leave the username blank
The default password XXXXX: admin
(if that does not work, please use admin for the username and password)
- Choose PPPoE for the connection type and enter your DSL username and password.
- Click the Wireless link (Your network name is XXXXX XXXXX you can change it and click the Save Settings button)
- Click the Wireless security link (Your wireless password XXXXX XXXXX there)
---- Choose WPA PERSONAL
---- Enter an eight digit passphrase in the WPA Pre Shared field (This will be your wireless password)
---- Click the Save settings button

after resetting still no internet connection

tried again when i connect modem to router,router to desktop i loose internet connection click on the link admin in username.admin in password XXXXX ok,both fields are cleared waiting for responce from http://192.168.1.1 no response

That means that you did not reset the router.

How about this; can you plug a computer that has a wireless card into the modem modem with a cable and allow me to remote into it so I can setup router for you?

jason the router still seems to be set for the original password XXXXX was limehorse,the router is also telling me it is not connected to the computer

You do not ahve to run any software.

The Limehorse signal is not on the router.

It is the signal that begins with a B.

That is not correct.
