Customer Question

I just got a Vizio tablet and am trying to set it up. It asks for a password XXXXX I my wireless network. Is the password XXXXX that I would use to get on my laptop or one that I make up? My laptop doesn't require a password. Thanks

What is the brand and model of your wireless router?

It's an Actiontec router and the model is M1424WR.

Please check at the back/bottom of the router for the password/security/network key.

If that does not work, please go to http://192.168.1.1 on a wired computer (not laptop/wireless) if possible, and login with your username and password (if you don't know, please enter admin in the User Name field and password in the Password field; if it does not work, please reset the router: with the power connected to the router, please use a paper clip to press & hold the tiny reset hole/button located on the back/bottom of the router for 10 seconds. Then wait a few minutes and try to login again with the admin and password.)
Then click the Wireless Setup icon at the top of the screen, and confirm your wireless password/security key.

If that does not work, were you able to get the password/key per my suggestion? What happens when you go to the website?
