RichieMe :

Hi there and welcome

RichieMe :

Do you recieve an error when your try to connect?

Customer:

when i click on network connections it gives me "Lan or High Speed Internet"; Wireless Network connection or Steve's iphone; which says 'network cable unplugged'.

RichieMe :

ok, click on Wireless

RichieMe :

look for the iPhone in the list of available networks please

RichieMe :

and connect to it there please

Customer:

it finds and connects to my home wireless network, it also finds my neighbors wireless network. it doesn't find the iphone right now although it has before.

RichieMe :

are you 100% the iPhone is broadcasting it?

RichieMe :

What are you using to make the hotspot on the iPhone?

Customer:

on the iphone, under settings, personal hotspot is on. wi fi is off, cellular data is on, data roaming is on. i took the phone to at&t store yesterday and it connected to everything they tried via personal hotspot.
