Connect a CAT5 cable between the range extender and your router’s LAN port, then configure the extender by going to the routers interface by typing belkin.range in your address bar.

Hi,

Please do not use/install any CD.

Before installing the extender, make sure you know your wireless network name (SSID) and wireless password/security key, if any. If you don't know this information, please let me know the brand and model of your wireless router.

First, with the power cord connected to the extender, press & hold the reset button on the back of the extender for about 10 seconds, then wait a few minutes.

Next, in order to set up the extender, you need to connect the computer to the range extender with an Ethernet/network cable, then you will be able to go to the site: http://Belkin.range
Note: If you use a laptop, before connecting the laptop to the extender, make sure to click on the wireless/network icon at the bottom right of the laptop screen, and disconnect from your wireless network if you are currently connected, then after that, you can connect the laptop to the extender, then go to the site: http://Belkin.range to set up the extender.

Once you are at http://Belkin.range, just follow the on-screen instructions to set up. Once it is done, just connect your laptop and any wireless device to the new wireless network and check.

(Put the extender about half way between the router and the wireless devices; make sure you are putting the extender where there is still signal with the router there; then the extender will increase the signal distance.)

Please let me know if it works or not. Please reply via this web page. Thank you.
