When you setup your roku did you activate it?
I am not sure if your having problems with activating the Roku unit or just having a Netflix activation issue. I will try to cover both just in case.

If you are still having problems with activating your netflix after you have confirmed your activation for your Roku the log in to your Netflix account on your computer
Please click the Your Account and Help link in the upper right hand corner by your log in name.
Under here you will see a link for Manage Netflix Ready Devices
click on this link and follow the Instructions

After many more attempts to go thru the process on the roku, we finally got past the account password part of the netflix setup and were able to connect without the computer or activation code. Did nothing differently.
