HI, GOT A LINKSYS E2500 YESTERDAY IM GETTING ERROR CODE 82bd010c AND NO INTERNET ACCESS

Who is your Internet service provider?
First, do not use the linksys software disk.
Let's try this: plug in the power to the linksys, then use a paper click to press in the tiny reset button/hole located on the back of the router for 30 seconds, then wait a few minutes. Then connect the modem to the LInksys router's Internet/WAN prot, then connect the computer to the router, then check.
If there is still issue, who is your Internet service provider?
Also, when the computer is connected directly to the modem, click on Start and type cmd and press Enter. Then type ipconfig and press Enter. Then tell me the Default gateway.

Actually, the router default gateway should be 192.168.1.1
If the modem's default gateway's first 3 numbers are 192.168.1., then with the computer connected to the router, please go to http://192.168.1.1 , and login with the username as blank (don't type anything) and the password XX admin . Then you can change the router ip address to 192.168.3.1. Then check Internet.

IT WON'T ALLOW ME TO DO THIS. I FINALLY CALLED LYNKSYS AND THEY SAID THIS ROUTER WAS DEFECTIVE , SO I RETURNED IT AND GOT A NEW ONE. IT DOESN'T WORK EITHER SO MY BEST GUESS IS EITHER THE INTERNAL OR EXTERNAL MODEM. ANY THOUGHTS. I APPRECIATE YOUR TIME AND EFFORTS ON WHAT IS MOST LIKELY A CARBON BASED OPERATIONAL ERROR.

What happens when you click on http://192.168.1.1?
(make sure you have reseted the router).
It's not the modem as it's working with Internet.
HI , WHEN I TYPED THAT IN I GET A SIGN IN PAGE THAT DOES NOT ADMIT ME WHEN I TYPE IN ADMIN AS PASSWORD XX NAME OR ANY COMBINATION THEREOF.IT FINALLY GIVES ME A BLUE PAGE THAT SAYS ERROR 401.
