I need an 8 digit pin to activate my linksys router and pick a wireless network. This number is XXXXX on my router nor disc. Please help!

My name is XXXXX XXXXX I am a member of the expert community here..

On a computer connected to the linksys now.

Click the link below

Click Me!!

On the page that comes up, it will ask for a username and password.

type in admin for the password, leave the username blank


You are inside the router..

Click on wireless, then right under it click on wireless security.

Where it says, PSK / Passphrase / Or Network key .. There is a text box to the right

In that text box is your password.. If it looks like **************

You will have to type in a new password, and click apply / save settings.

Then.. The router will restart..

You have now found out, or reset your wireless password.

***Note*** If you changed the password.. The current computer will also have to reconnect to the network, and enter the new password.

This isnt an issue of ignorance on your part.. We are probably just usingthe wrong back door code. Meaning your codehas been changed.

Lets find out what it is.

click start, all programs, accessories, right click command prompt..

click run as admin

type in

ipconfig

and press enter


then.. i need to know the numbes you get for

ip address
default gateway
dns server.
