Hello, my name is XXXXX XXXXX I will be assisting you.May I ask if the security key used been tested successfully on another machine? Did you have to manually input your network SSID name and security or you choose from a list of wireless network?
Yes, it was tested on my sons notebook and it failed as well. we choose from a list of wireless devices.
I assume you are using a wireless router? If so, please provide me with the model
Is there any device that worked with this wireless network?
Belkin, Model F7D2301 v1
there is no device that currently is working with the wireless.
when the wireless was first setup it did work but that was several months ago.
May I ask if you are currently using the wired connection of this router? The reason is that if you do not have the access info and username/password XXXXX been change, we might need to put this device back to default and reconfigure.
Yes, I am using the wired connection.
Ok, did you attempt to change the default username/password?
No, how do you do this and will this disrupt the wired connection?
It should't disturb the wired unless we attempt to restart it.
Do you have time to perform some configuration?
unfortunately I have to leave for an hour. Can we reconnect later?
Sure, why don't I post some steps and you attempt it and let me know how it goes?
No problem. Thanks!
