Greetings,Please, let me know when you are ready to start troubleshooting.I will stand by.
Please, elaborate on your problem.
Which password XXXXX you change on the router? Was it the one you need to connect to the wireless signal or the one to login to the router and make changes?
Ok, where did you change it?
After changing it on the router page, you must reconnect to the wireless signal on each wireless computer put in the new password.
That is due to a problem with the way that Windows 7 & Vista manage wireless networks.
Make note of the exact type of encryption used (Example: WPA-PSK / AES)- Click the Start button > Control Panel > Network & Sharing Center- Click the Manage Wireless Networks link- Highlight and remove the wireless profiles there currently- Click the Add button- Enter the network name- Click the Advanced option button- Manually select the level of encryption and security mode, then enter your password- Connect to the new signal
How are those steps coming along?
When you changed the password XXXXX the router, did you setup any additional security option (ie: mac filtering)?
Are you able to connect after completing the steps above?
The network name is XXXXX XXXXX of the wireless network.
that is the name that you see when you scan for signals
Did you just change the password XXXXX did you also change the level of encryption? (WEP, WPA, etc)?
Ok, I have no information about your network name.
Was that a question or statement?
Please, go to the router configuration page and verify the correct signal name and password XXXXX creating the new profile.
