I just purchased a Kindle and my Linksys e1000 router will

I just purchased a Kindle and my Linksys e1000 router will not let me connect with the internet. The kindle will not accept my router password.r.

Already Tried:
I called I have called Amazon and they said it was a server problem. My server has no idea what the problem has to do with my server.

Yes, but I have had the roouter for a long time.

I understand.
Please try to re-run the setup procedure, but this time select the network encryption mode to be WEP. Then setup a 10 digit number as the network key (e.g. your phone number).

your insructions did not work, the response on the Kindle is "unable to connect to Wi-Fi Network

Disconnet the router from the wall power for 2 minutes, then reconnect and wait a minute. Then try to connect the kindle again, using the phone number as the password.
