Hi I forgot my password to my Netgear WPN824v3 router. How

Hi I forgot my password XXXXX my Netgear WPN824v3 router. How do I change it?.

The default username is admin
The default password XXXXX password

Networking Extraordinaire :

If that does not allow you in, the only option you have is to reset your router, which is done by pressing and holding the reset button on the router for 20 seconds. Then you can login with the default username & password.

Once you reset it, you may have to reconfigure your router to get online. If you are running cable, you will not have to configure anything further.

Is your internet connection DSL or CABLE?

It's a DSL. I tried the admin and password XXXXX got me in. But I tried to connect my wife's kindle to it and it says the connection does not work. I'm I doing something wrong

After logging into the router, click the Wireless Settings > Security link.

Verify that you are connecting to the correctly named signal and you are using the passcode that is displayed on that page.

okay I will try that.

the kindle still doesn't seem to connect. Do you have any other suggestions?.

Does it ask for a password XXXXX you try and connect?

yes. and I type in the word password XXXXX it says it doesn't connect

On the router, disable the encryption and click the Apply settings button.

I tried that and it still doesn't work. Maybe there's a problem with the kindle

no i don't see that option.

Under Wireless Settings, click on ‘Setup Access List’

Is the checkbox "Turn Access Control On" checked or unchecked?

under wireless settings I have security options(none, WEP, WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK, and WPA-PSK + WPA2-PSK)
