Welcome to JustAnswer..

My name is XXXXX XXXXX I am a member of the expert community here..

Type the printer IP address into the address field of your Web browser.

Note: If you do not know the IP address of the printer, print a network setup page and locate the IP address in the TCP/IP section.

From the Settings screen, click General Settings.

Under Factory Defaults, select Restore Now, and then click Submit.

That will reset the printer to default settings..

I tried that but the printer IP address is 0.0.0.0 and it will not come up from the browser.

Aha. Got cha..

Then connect the printer via a usb cord to a computer it was installed on.. Then.
use the Local Printer Settings Utility for Windows

1 Open the utility.
2 Do one of the following:
• From the Local Printer Settings Utility menu bar, click Actions ? Restore Factory Defaults.
• From Printer Settings, click Factory Defaults.

I have installed printer again, but this time as USB. Where are you going exactly when you say Local Printer Settings Utility. Are you going into the printer properties?

You may need to install it, its a lexmark program. Here is the download link.

http://support.lexmark.com/index?page=downloadFile&actp=CONTENT&productCode=LEXMARK_E120&id=DR18486&segment=DOWNLOAD&userlocale=EN_US+&locale=en&oslocale=en_US

Once downloaded, install it.. Then.. Run it.. the instructions I have before should now make sense..

use the Local Printer Settings Utility for Windows

1 Open the utility.
2 Do one of the following:
• From the Local Printer Settings Utility menu bar, click Actions ? Restore Factory Defaults.
• From Printer Settings, click Factory Defaults.

Unfortunately, it did not work. I downloaded the lexmark utility, told it to restore factory settings, the printer lights flashed. However, it still shows Enable DHCP to NO and Enable AutoIP is still NO.

Hi there,

Try this:

  1. Remove the network cable
  2. Turn the printer off
  3. Open the front cover
  4. Hold down the cancel and continue buttons
  5. Turn the printer on
  6. All the lights will flash
  7. The ! light will appear as the only light on.
  8. Remove fingers from the 2 buttons
  9. Close the front cover
  10. Attach the network cable and wait a minute allowing it to obtain address
  11. Press the continue button twice
  12. It will print out a test page listing the current settings

Let me know if this doesn't work for you.

Best Regards,
Brandon

Unfortunately, after completing the steps above the printer still reads an IP address of 0.0.0.0
