Customer Question

I need a wireless router. I had a Linksys that died. I have researched without any idea what to pick. The reviews are all over the place. I have a main office laptop (vostro 1720), a mini HP 1000, an inspiron (03) just for surfing internet, and a LG570 30 feet from modem/router. I want to stream netflix and have a wired printer. What do you suggest?

Hi there,

In my experience, You want something simple that works.

Here is a nice linksys, the newer model of the WRT line

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833124284&cm_re=linksys_router-_-33-124-284-_-Product

It has about 100 ft of good signal range and is perfect for a small house/apartment for about $40.

Here is another one i recommend, it's a different brand Netgear, but is solid and only costs $35

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833122016

They both have 4 stars each and the reviews under each one may be helpful. I think either of them would suit your needs.

Both routers are good for streaming. Price doesn't matter as long as its fast and not interrupted.

Both of therse will be fast within the range of 100ft and a few walls. If you want something more powerful try this one:

Hope this helps, let me know if you need any more info
