This process might require multiple contacts from both sides. Please connect a cable from modem to the Internet/WAN port(it will be one separate port) of the router. Now, connect an ethernet cable from any of the 4 ports(which are located together) of router to the computer. Now, check if you are online or not. we will make it wireless after that.If get some help, please hit Accept as this is how I Earn my Living and get paid for my Time, work. This will not affect the amount you have already agreed to pay. Please leave positive feedback if the issue is fixed, if not ask me again instead of leaving negative feedback. There is no bad computer. I tied using two different laptop computers to access the wireless side of the router. I currently have three desk top computers connected by cable to the router. the wireless radio portion is not working, transmitt or recieve.
Sorry I was disconnected. do you have another recommendation?
Bad computer means the computer on which you are not able to go online wireless? Please tell me if Bad computer is laptop or desktop?
There are two laptop computers that cannot access the wireless. One is a Gateway and the other is a DELL., Latitude D430.

Already did that with both laptops and they have internet connection.
Please click start, click connect To on the laptop on which you have Windows vista.
The two laptops have Windows XP PRo. two of the three desktops have Windows XP Pro and one desktop has Vista.
At the bottom right hand side corner, in the task bar, please right click on two (or one computer icon)comoputer icon and click View available networks. Now, choose your network and connect to it.
The wireless network listed is named "The Hare Network". I clicked on it and it tried to access the net however a window message read "Unable to locate wireless net".
Please follow the steps here:http://oit.pdx.edu/use-windows-to-manage-wireless
Ok, we are going nowhere. First the the three desktops and two laptops were setup and wireless SSID was there. the wireless radio would not enable from anyone of the desktops or laptop.
Please check on the body of the laptop, if you see a button to turn on the wireless services. You will see a button with wireless signal. You can try Fn+F2(Hold down Fn key and hit F2 key).
the laptop wireless radio was enabled. it could not receive the wireless router signal.
I used two different laptops with the Wireless Radio enabled and they could not connect.
Does both of your laptop detects wireless networks? Now, please turn off the dell wireless utility by clicking start, all programs, dell wireless and uncheck all of the options under it and click apply and ok.
1. No No detection on both laptops.
2. Not using Dell wireless. One laptop has aLinksys Wireless-G 2.4 GHz Notebook adapter.
3. One laptop is using a different wireless adapter. looking it up now.
Do you have two separate wireless devices?Linksys Wireless-G 2.4 GHz Notebook adapter is USB stick connected to laptop correct?
No. it is a plug in card, slim approx 3" long by 1 1/2 " wide by 1/8" deep Model NO WPC546G
The second wireless laptop device is a DW WLAN Card Utility Version A31. I have been using it all day for work!

I appriciate your efforts, but I have 3 more hours of tasking for work to complete this evening and it has already been fourteen hours since I started work today. I have already been with this for more than two hours with this simple issue.. I will go buy another router sometime tomorrow.
Pleaes reset your router(Wireless-G Broadband Router Model WRT54G) once and then try to connect.Unplug or turn off your DSL/cable modem.Locate , on the back of your Linksys router, the small button that reads ResetPress, and hold, the Reset button down for 30 seconds.Wait for your Power, WLAN and Internet light to turn on. (On the router)Plug in or turn on your modem.(if it is separate from the router)Open your web browser to see if you have an internet connection.
