Hi, I can help you with this. Are you talking about the security key that needs to be entered when connecting to your wireless? Do you know the existing one? Also, what is your current security type (WEP, WPA, etc.)?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
Security type is WEP
I have confirmed with Apple that My security password XXXXX connect to the wireless router network is:
sherlock12345 (all lower case with no spaces for a total of 13 characters)

Ok, please follow these steps to change the password (security key):

  1. Open the AirPort Admin Utility (located in /Applications/Utilities/).
  2. Select your base station from the list.
  3. Click Configure.
  4. Enter the password XXXXX the base station if prompted.
  5. Click on Airport tab
  6. Click Change Wireless Security button
  7. My suggestion, is that you change security to WPA-Personal (WEP is the weakest security out of all of them) and select pre-shared key from pull down list on the left. Then on the right, enter desired passphrase between 8 and 63 characters long
  8. Click Update and exit the utility
  9. You will now need to re-connect to wireless and enter the passphrase when prompted.
