Hello,

Thank you for contacting Just Answer.

First, I need more information in order to better assist you.

What happens when you try connecting to your network?

If you click Start, Connect To, then select your wireless network then click Connect, what happens?

Customer replied1231 days and 20 hours ago.

It shows that it connects to linksys, but when I click on IE, it shows the page cannot be found and brings up a diagnostic box with suggestions to the problem. When I choose to connect to my neighbors wireless service, it works fine. on my motorola (not sure what to call it) everything is showing a green light but internet is red. Does that help?

Yes. So on the Motorola, unplug the power then wait 30 seconds and plug the power back in. After all lights are on and green, power down then power up the router. After 3 minutes reboot your computer and try again to connect to the Internet through your wireless network.

If you plug a network cable directly into the router 1/2/3/4 ports and then to your comptuer do you get an IP address, or even able to get online?

Ok then next, while connected to the network click Start then in the Search box type CMD and then right click on the command line icon that appears and click Run As Administrator. Then on the command line type:

ping www.hongkong.com

and press Enter then type:

ping 202.84.1.82

and press Enter and let me know if you receive a reply to either. If you receive a reply to 202.84.1.82 but not to www.hongkong.com then next follow the instructions at the link below to specify DNS IP address settings:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Change-TCP-IP-settings

and use the following IP addresses for your DNS settings:

208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
